Cambodia; Angkor wat

Hey people!

I went to Cambodia the other day to see the Angkor wat which is the world heritage by UNESCO. The temple is visually, artistically breathtaking. So beautiful. It was build in the early 12th century so it has lots of history. Angkor wat is actually a temple complex so there are so many temples to visit. My favorite is Angkor Thom. The movie "Tomb Raider" was filmed at this temple. Big trunks are all over this place so you can tell how old it is easily. Mysterious place ever.

The city of Siem Reap is very interesting. You can borrow a bike (Yes, it' free!) so you can explore the city. Much more fun than riding a taxi. Personally I recommend you to visit an old market called Phsar Chas. You can get hand-made wooden sculptures, cute vases, traditional things cheap. Don't forget to ask discounts. Negotiating is always fun! And usually you can get what you want by your preferable price! Be patient. To eat, drink, you could go to the "Pub Street". There are so many nice cafes, bars and restaurants. But I'm telling you, these places are full of tourists. Cambodian people normally don't go to these places because it's a bit pricy. On the street, there are also a couple of nightclubs so you can enjoy nightlife around there.

Native Union, love it or hate it?

Hey guys,

I bought this moshimoshi handset by Native Union and I'm loving it. I know it's bulky when you carry out your phone but it's soooo convenient. You can text or look at maps when you're even calling!! How cool is that!? A couple of my friends are trying to get one of these classic handsets. There are so many colors to choose from. I picked a red one which is cute and looks real a classic phone. Those are compatible to major phones like iphone, blackberry etc. You can also use it with PC and ipad!
Love it or hate it?

What is love?

Hey guys!

I just watched a film called "What's your number?". It's a regular romantic comedy, nothing special. It's funny and just predictable. Well, I'm not gonna criticize or anything here. What this film is trying to say is that, (what I think), being in love is being honest. I think it's so true. I bet, many of you guys are like "so what? everyone knows it."

Being in love is something make you happy. Can you be happy when you lie to yourself? I can't. I won't feel relaxed if I try to hide real me. Even though it's a very small one. But I know people lie. People lie because we are afraid to show what you really are. We are afraid to be hated. Sometimes we believe it would be better to lie, to not to hurt someone. But lying actually hurts people. When we lie, we don't realize that truth. And after someone get hurts, then you realize what you did. Too late. Game over.

So I'm trying to be honest to myself, always. Then I can be truly happy.

After the 3.11

Hello all!

These days people around me are getting married, some of them got pregnant, and stepping forward to a new life, completely a new life. This is a good thing, good for them for sure but not only for them, for the world too.

The world economy is falling apart and we still don't see the bright future. Money issue is a huge deal. To raise a kid, "boom", your money is slipping down from your pocket. For many people, even it's hard to look after yourself. Job issue is included, I mean, we all are busy with work, we are ambitious. We work to do what you want to, we work to live, we work to have a joy.

Since the number of new born child is becoming small year by year, it gets me think we gotta do something for it. People claims that we have to make a better future for our children, we have to make everything great. I hear it every single day from everywhere, all over the world. We have to give a birth, children have the key for our future. But if we don't have kids then what? The world definitely towards to the end.

After the 3.11 in 2011, when the tragic tsunami hit our land, people get so scared of their future and so called the baby-boom has arrived. We don't care if we have money or not, we want to feel safe, we don't want to die alone, we don't want to die without nobody knowing you are gone.
It's been said that young generation is not getting themselves up, lazy, naive, immature etc. But I don't think it's true. Young men are actually trying to see forward, making a new town. After the terrific incident, I can see that vividly. This makes me happy and gets me motivated. As a one of young people, I can say that we are honestly starting to think about the society, we are not like what were used to think anymore.

CHANEL: Coco Cocoon

Hey people!

These days, it's getting chilly at night and morning, I feel fall season coming day by day!! It's sad summer is over but you can enjoy mix style of summer and winter in fall which is exciting!!

Anyway, I'm getting attracted by these bags, Chanel:Coco Cocoon. Actually I didn't like this series at first, but after I saw photos, I had to change my mind.

Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, Vanessa Paradis looks stunning!!! Last year 2009, Lily Allen was modelled and looked very cute in the ads photos. But this year, soooo gorgeous!!

The line includes wallets, totes, backpacks, etc. I like that some are reversible!! You can enjoy two way in one bag. Isn't this amazing?

I think this bag is gonna be one of your best mates for autumn and fall. It looks a bit big and bulky but light and you can put all of your things!!

What is the best bag for coming season?

xoxo, H

Oh-mihachiman city

Hello guys,

The other day my friend A and I went to Oh-mihachiman city by car. Just about 90 minutes away from Osaka central. You can go there (Oh-mihachiman) by train as well, of course ;) Oh-mihachiman is in Shiga prefecture.

In this city, many old and traditional buildings are preserved by government. It's sort of like Kyoto, you can say. The difference between the two cities are big or small and more people or less. But more importantely, in Oh-mihachiman, you can eat delicious beef which is called "Oh-mi gyu". Really famous. Where we had lunch is one, side by the river. The restaurant is called Hamagura. Here the pictures of what I had.

It costed $20 and it was SO GOOD. Thumbs up!!!

If you have time, you can try a boat ride which runs around a small lake. It's touristically, popular spots but the ride takes tooooo long. It's about 80 minutes. Our guide was an old guy who seened around 75 years or something. I think he is supposed to say something about the city, (like gondolier in Venice) but this guy was super quiet and just does his job, rows boat. So I got bored and tired. Considering of his age, he seemed pretty tough and young!!! Live long old guy!!

After that we popped by a new outlet (Mitsui Outlet Park Ryuo)in Ryuo city. It's just 10 minutes away. This mall has Paul Smith, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Diesel, Coach, Bruno Magli, Nike, Adidas etc etc.

We had so much fun!!

Saipan food

About gastronomy in Saipan:

I borrowed this from mymariana.com. They say "From haute cuisine to hot pizza, from the Far East to the Wild West, Saipan has more restaurants than you can shake a fork at. Because of its unique geographical location and ethnic mix, Saipan combines the best of Eastern taste with Western flavor spiced with local ingredients.

Chamorro, Carolinian, American, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Italian, Mexican, Cajun, Thai, and Indian are just some of the tastes you'll find in Saipan's many restaurants.. Be sure to sample some of the islands' fresh local fish and seafood specialties."

Personally, I loved Countryhouse Restaurant. It's a steak house, and prices are reasonable. Their steak is just great!!! Look at this following photo. It makes me drool.

Sirloin steak 12oz (330g): $29.00

This photo was taken in a cafe restaurant in Hyatt Regency Saipan. We had lunch there and spent a wonderful time. It's a buffet style and there are so many salads and you can pick up some cheese as well. They have soup and cakes and ice cream for dessert. We can choose a main dish. I don't remember well but they had beef, chicken, fish, pasta etc. It was $22.00 each.

The view was also great.

Small island (Saipan)

Hello, everyone.

It's been a bit while since I uploaded this blog in June.

Here is a picture of Saipan where I went with one of my best friend Erica in July.

Saipan is a small island of Northan Mariana islands. You can enjoy marine sports, swimming, cycling and so on. If you are looking for a calm place to just relax and chill out, Saipan is exactly where you want to go. Hawaii is a popular destination for who wants to enjoy beach life, but tends to be busy.

Comparing to Guam, they are almost same but Saipan has less beach you can swim. Of course, there are many beaches but most of them are not deep enough to swim which is a bit shame.

For swimmers, I definitely recommend Tank beach. It's on the South East of the island. Tank beach is kinda unique. There are rocks around the beach and where you can swim is surrounded by rock walls so it's more like, I say a pond or pool in the ocean. It's really interesting, you should check it out.

Anyway Saipan is good for diving. Laulau beach is like the best diving spot. I heard so.

Other place you need to go is The Grotto. It's popular for Saipanese. You can swim and dive there. As you recognize by the name of Grotto, this is really grotto, cave. The colour of ocean is clear blue and really beautiful.

When you go to Saipan, you should rent a car. Without a car, moving around the island is a bit difficult. 2 days rent costs just around 140 bucks, not expensive and most of stores are offering car park for free! Many drivers go amazingly slow, safe drivers. You don't have to worry about.

I'll talk about food later!

H xoxo

Huge hit

Hello guys,

After opening Tory Burch in lots of cities in Japan, maybe that was May, I see many people wearing TB shoes, including me! haha

I wanted to buy this pair of sandals for my mum's birthday but it was totally sold out! And I asked them to look for another colour but I had to be on the waiting list!

So seems Tory Burch is getting huge in the Japanese trend scene.

Vogue cover 1920-2009

Hello guys!

My brother just got the VOGUE cover 1920-2009 which was published last month here in Japan. I looked inside just a little bit, coz I didn't have time to study it, but it's a great book. You should check it out.

Here what they say in the amazon.co.jp's resume:
This book brings together a selection of the best, most iconic "Paris Vogue" covers from the last 90 years. A magazine thats documented trends for nearly a century provides an archive of more that just pretty pictures....

There are so many glamorous and gorgeous pictures! But to say the truth, I wanted to see more cover of old times, like 20's, 30's.
